The Consulate General of Japan in Boston's First New England New Year’s Card Contest

 

The Consulate General of Japan successfully held the first New England New Year’s Greeting Card Contest for elementary, junior and senior high school students.
There were 477 entries from elementary school students, 158 from junior high school students and 181 from senior high school students.  In all 816 cards were submitted.
As 2014 is the Year of the Horse, according to traditional Chinese calendar, many of the cards displayed a wonderful image of a horse. It is extremely difficult to choose the best cards. The winners are shown below. The cards are being displayed in rotating exhibit in the library of the Consulate General of Japan.
